Fire Drill training

This worth the training. My dogs are fire drill trained. The purpose of this is to get the dogs out a door in the event of a fire.
This is how I started. It takes two people- one to press the "test " button on the smoke detector- the other to do the following.
Having one person press the "test "button- the other runs to a dog calling happy and wildly with major treats like hot dogs etc. Treats- praise.. Then advanced- slip leads around the dogs and leave the house- again treat praise like a big game! Then try a different door- same drill- .. You want the dogs to learn to come to whereever they are called quick and lots of praise and treats!
Remember- if the smoke alarm goes off other wise- you need to do this drill. ( that includes burning toast in a toaster).

***** Remember in a real fire your voice would sound panicked- you need to remember to keep the same voice in a real fire..***And use slip leads- remember in a real fire- you wont or cant see leashes to collars clips..
