an embarrassing problem

there is no nice way to say this, so here goes:

b.b. tried to eat my foster kitties doodoo!! this week, out of laziness i guess, i put the litter pan in the house instead of the basement. i was at work and my husband calls and says" i thought you told me cats were such clean animals, well our foster cat just made a doodoo on the kitchen floor." i know as much about cats as i don't know about dogs (lots) and i asked him, how do you know it wasn't the dog? he said it had those little blue litter chunks coating it. all of the sudden a green light went on in my head. i said "sweetheart..go, right now and put the litter pan in the basement..NOW!" when i explained what probably happened he was quite upset because bb kisses him all the time.
anyway, does anyone else have this problem? and most of all..WHY...WHY? i realize animals and humans have different tastebuds but something that smells that bad can't possibly taste good!

The easiest solution: keep the litter box out of BB's reach. Put it in a place where the cat can get to it, but little BB can't.

If that's not possible, I'd teach him the "leave it" command.

Eww my dogs do the same thing if we visit any of our friends with cats. I HATE that, and so do my friends (at least I think they are still my friends, I don't know after THAT). If they find some outside, they want to eat it. It's only the cat poo, never any other animal's.

Yeah, my chocolate milk and PBJ sandwich aren't so appetizing after all, LOL.

I just used regular Paint on mine, along with a LOT of patience and boredom. I took the pic I wanted, colored around the dog (or chinchilla or bird) and then put little designs on them. There's a thread that Boxerlover uses to give people new avatars and signatures. She's the one who does most of the really cool ones you see on here. She is in the middle of a move, but she will be back to making new ones for people. Here's the link:

http://www.globalpaw.com/showthread....ghlight=avatar (I can make....Graphic sigs and avatars.)

All you have to do is give her links to your pics and she will make one for you. And they all turn out so nice!!

Every dog I have ever had has considered the cats' litter box their own personal buffet table! I tried all those different additives they sell that is supposed to stop this snacking but none of them ever worked for us. The only surefire solution I have ever come up with is keeping the litter box inaccessible to the dogs.

Yup, my dogs love digging for burried treasure in the kitty boxes. I put the kitty boxes in the garage with a baby gate over the door so the cats can get in but the dogs can't.
