what age beagle is mostly accident free?

I have a nine month old beagle and I would like to know if she should be housetrained by now? How much can I realistically expect from her? She is finally getting better about not peeing in her crate at night. I figured out that when she wakes in the morning she doesn't cry first and then pee, she pees first and then cries to get out of it. I put her in our room so that I can hear her stirring before she pees. But she still has an accident or two a week. We keep a close eye on her (on a leash in the house) and still she manages to pee on the floor sometimes (not often). I keep telling my husband she is just a puppy, but he has had enough and is threatening to make me get rid of her if she doesn't stop peeing in the house. I love her but I don't think I can watch her 24 / 7. But I don't want to get rid of her.

Some dogs take longer as individuals, but most are usually housebroken by 9 months. Have you taken her to a vet to check for a UTI? It may not be that she means to do it, there could be a medical reason why.
