Can anybody recommend GOOD toys?

I have found out early on with Sheeva (the 2 1/2 year black lab) that she can destroy dog toys pretty easy that have any kind of point on them... so I went mostly with smooth round and curvy things, along with ropes and stuffed toys.
Now that Shadow (1 year Catahoula) is here, he has destroyed almost all of her toys within a matter of days. From the 30 or so toys Sheeva had in her large toy basket there is only a handful left.
And we have kept on buying more in between too!!!
It doesn't matter what I buy he can chew it up in a few minutes!!
I eliminate 95% of the toys right off the bat because I KNOW he would chew 'em up.
I reached the last straw when he chewed the top off of the brand new Kong within 30 minutes!
He loves all the toys and he loves to destroy them even more. I already buy only toys labeled for "heavy chewers"... but its getting pretty expensive having them destroyed in less then a whole day.
The only thing lasting longer are ropes and natural bones.
If anybody knows of a great source or toy for REALLY HEAVY CHEWERS I would be very grateful.

Nylabone makes a hard chew toy that looks like a knotted rawhide chew. It's about $8.

Have you tried the Black Kong, you can get different shapes, Big Bone, galelio (sp), Gernade and herculies I have found to be great for strong chewers.

The black kong and the nylabone products are also what comes to mind. If there are any products out there that are stronger I've not seen them. Have you tried a large knuckle bone?

I know the exactlly what your talk'in about . Cora and Copper (vizsla) love to chew!!! I found these great non-edible grennie look alike chew bones on ebay. I had ordered a couple of them. Seem to hold up. Check them out on ebay. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=4384384354
The seller is great and sends them very quickly!

Most of my bullies are heavy chewers and for outside fun we have a few old ten pound bowling balls to roll around and believe it or not bowling pins are fantastic as well. My kids also have great fun with riding lawn mower tires for outside chewing.

orbee balls from planetdog are supposed to be very good and guaranteed. i haven't gotten one yet but a lot of pit bull owners swear by them. fresh marrow bones and tires.

I just got a chicken flavored nylabone for the girls yesterday. They have ones that are really tough for hard chewers, and black kongs are extra tough.

PetsMart has the orbee and the large greenie chew. I almost got Zada the small orbee, but thought it was a bit pricey. Now that I know how much you can save on tons of destroyed toys, I'm going to get my two sons dogs one each. They have problems finding anything their big dogs can't destroy too.
PetEdge has Greenies Smart Chews (rubber), from $2.49 (petite) up to $8.19. (Jumbo)
I'm sure within the next catalog or two they should have the orbee. They keep up with the latest products very good. You can get their free catalong at www.PetEdge.com Their prices cannot be beaten.

Thanks for all the input.
Shadow is happily chewing on his marrow bones... I have to boil them and take the marrow out though, as he gets insane diarrhea (oops... probably shouldn't even attempt to write that word ) from it.
Lol, tires sound like a good idea except that he likes to take his toys inside
I have tried Kongs... but not the black ones yet. Will do so in the future though. I guess I am just looking for a "funner" toy for him. There are soooo many cute toys out there, but all seem to be for little toy breeds. Shadows favorite thing to do is rip the toy apart and take the squeaker out, shred it up and spit it out!

And thanks for the petedge address. I have never heard of that one, will definitely check it out right away.
Many thanks again.

I have a Pittbull who is strong and I don't have that problem with her. SHe LOVES tennis balls, they are fun and very durable. Also she LOVES sock knots. All I do is take a few old socks and knot them together in the middle. It's proven to be a durable and cheap toy. Make sure though the socks aren't the flimsy anf thin kind. This is just a suggestion for you.

She must love them enough not to pop them. My bullies pop tennis balls in about two seconds flat.

My dogs are very strong chewers. As a matter of fact, my Shaker pulled the couch out about 6 ft from the wall and chewed it up. A couch that is so big and heavy, it took 4 men to bring it in. She also pulled the air vent out of the floor and mangled it, 4 inch screws and all!!! I love Kongs and Nylabones. They cannot get though a Kong and Nylabones take months before i have to take them away. I have learned the hard way and wasted many dollars on toys that were destroyed in seconds.
