Vote for the July book!

We're almost at the end of June and so it's about time we chose the next bookclub book.

Please only vote if you actually intend to participate in the clubs reading and discussion, whether the book your voted for is chosen or not.

~~~~~~~~~
If you have a favourite book that you think the bookclub should read next time, add it to the Fiction Suggestions thread and we'll consider adding it to next months vote (remember we have members from all over the world so make sure the book is available internationally). We also have breed specific and non-fiction threads you can add books to.
~~~~~~~~~
Anyhoo...I hope you'll join us next month. We had a great time discussing this months book 'The Lovely Bones' and I'm sure you'll love next months just as much.

Cass.

Of course, my most busy month and there are great books! I'm going to hold off on voting, but if it looks like there will be time, I'll get the choice book and participate!

The poll will close in about 4 days time. Is anyone interested in bookclub? It'd be a shame to have to cancel it for this month. It's a lot of fun and only takes 10-20mins a day...that's not long. So come on and join in. I promise you'll enjoy it.

I just made an order of dog books from amazon, so if the book you guys decide on is one of the ones I already have or just bought I'd love to join
Have you decided what book yet?

edited to add the books I just bought from amazon in case you guys are still looking at choices:

Don't shoot the dog by Karen Pryor

On talking terms with dogs: calming signals by Turid Rugaas

Bringing light to Shadow. A dog trainer's diary by Pamela Dennison

Dogs:a new understanding of canine origin, behavior and evolution by Raymond Coppinger

The other end of the leash by Patricia McConnell - which I've already read from the library but needed my own copy because it's such a great book

There is a poll at the top of the thread for people to vote on what book we read next.

If no one votes, we have no book. Sadly, that's the way it seems to be going this month.

Cass.

EDIT: If you would like you can add the books you just bought to our reading lists. The threads for those lists are stickied at the top of the bookclub forum.

No fun to be had this month.

The poll closes tomorrow and it looks like no one is interested this time around. Oh well...we'll be back at the end of the month with a new poll for August. I hope we have some people wanting to participate then.

Cass.

I can't read that fast either. It takes me the entire month to read the books usually. Bookclub isn't a competition to see who can read the fastest. It's a group of people who love reading, getting together and reading the same book...and discussing it. Not exactly the most difficult thing in the world.

Cass.

Sorry I have been deliquent with the book club. The past two months have been nightmares for me. I am hoping all in the world is sorting itself out because I do need to be able to sit down and read something. I havent read anything since Marly and Me. Now thats sad.
