"How to Speak Dog" by Stanley Coren

I bought this book at Barnes & Noble instead of "The Other End of the Leash" that I went in for. I've read about half of it now and feel I've learned some new things. Coren talks about a dog's body language and how to read it, and our responses to a dog's body language and the effects of [our response].

Has anyone else read it? I'd be interested to know if there was any information in the book that you didn't agree with or found particularly helpful. I liked the information about a dog's yawn and the different meanings of it!

I haven't read it, but I'd love to get my hands on a copy (I'll check ebay ). We should have another bookclub book...but this time make it a training book like this.

Cass.

Great idea Cass - I don't think I've read this book (I read a whole heap back when River was a pup and some of them weren't very memorable so I'm not sure of the names of some them now!!!)

I've read this book and found it very interesting. It helpe confirm a few theories I have had on people claiming they have brilliant dogs as well as taught me some other stuff. A very facinating read! Its amazing how important and cruciall body language is.

This sounds like a book I want to check out! I've read some on how our body language influences our dogs, but I'd like to learn more...sounds like yet another trip to the bookstore is in order. To bad I'm broke right now. lol
