I think a book club is a great idea, where did it go? Can we start it up again?

I think Cass and Novel were helping in this group.

I'll help out with dog related topics, I don't read for pleasure but am interested in many dog topics.

I'm interested in Dog Training, Canine Nutrition, Canine Genetics, Canine Health, Canine Diagnostics, Dog Sports, Canine Rehabilitation and Cross-cultural Dog Study.

I was in the first one, but I think I would have more time to read and discuss if it wasn't done this time of the year. Maybe start in January?

The book club was stopped due to lack of participation. We've restarted it several times and the participation has never risen. I don't believe there is enough interest to start it up again.

If you would like to Calgal, you can lead the Bookclub for the month.

Feel free to start a sign up thread here to test the waters. You'll have to choose a book that is readily available for all members though.

Would it make more sense to start "Book Review" threads in the book club so people can post their comments as they go along. I know it's not quite like a book club discussion but it might work better if people cannot agree on titles or want to read at their own pace. Just a thought.

I'm offering book reviews in my blog (kinda of a library blog). I will also be offering titles for review here in the Book Club and I encourage you to do the same. You are all welcome to write reviews as you please, although I do ask that you state the title and author in the subject line (so people searching the forum can find your review) and reference the ISBN or any other identify informations so people can look the book up at their local library, bookstore or online book store.
