Animal Soulmates?
My brother got me a copy of "Modern Dog Magazine" for christmas. It's a dog lover frou frou type magazine, but it had some very interesting articles in it.
One of which was about an "animal whisperer". Okay, first and foremost, I don't believe in Animal Whisperers. I think that they are well skilled in the body language of animals, but I don't believe they sit down and have conversations with the animals. I be a skeptic on that issue. Anyways, this particular "dog whisperer" made some interesting comments. She was talking more on the vein of reincarnation. She apparantly talked to a few dogs, and that all souls intertwine and become different things the next lifetime around. Apparantly one dog wanted to be a dog in this life, because he wanted to know what it was like to be subserviant, because in the next one he planned on being a teacher. But I thought that you have no say over what you'll reincarnate into? Anyways, in that same topic, she mentioned that our animals are our soulmates, and that in every lifetime, somehow, some way we'll meet up with them again. What could have been your dog this life, could turn out to be a parent in the next life, or a sister, or you could be their dog. The basic jist was that our animals souls are so intertwined with our own that even death can't tear that bond apart. I have to admit, it's a really nice thought. I'd love to know that Gizmo and Beni will always somehow be around me no matter where I go or what life I end up in. I was curious to see what other people thought about it as well. Although I hope there's no religion bashing. I personally don't believe in reincarnation, but I most certainly don't look down on those who do. ![]() |

I feel the same way. They say we will see all our loved ones in heaven and I hope they mean our dogs too. Somehow I really do believe all mammals go to heaven because they have souls too.

I do believe in reincarnation, but not the traditional "one soul in one body" type of thing. I won't bother explaining because it doesn't have much to do with what I wanted to say.
It's a nice thought that they're our "soul mates" but I think it's just human selfishness coming though. We want everything to be 'ours' or at least 'for us'. It's difficult for us to think that the universe isn't here just for us and we not only have no control over it but no clue how it works. Sooo....basically what I'm saying is, it sounds nice (what the pet whisperer said) but I don't believe a word of it. Cass. |

I don't believe in reincarnation at all.

I have my doubts on reincarnation, but sometimes when I go into deep thought about it, i wonder if its really true. I am Christian and am not suppose to belive in reincarnation but its human nature to wonder about things like that. What ever the case is, I guess we just have to wait and find out when our time is done. I really hope I get to see my dog again. I really love him, so why would God keep me from him? As for the whole "dog whisperer," I also dont belive in them. Its all about the body, eyes, facial expressions, ect.

I remember reading a long time ago that we are sent back to earth (in different forms ) until we reach perfection. Well, I would guess that *man* is in his first steps at perfection and dogs are already there!!

If anyone thinks that dogs do not go to heaven. Please do not tell me this. I will stamp my feet and cry and wimper for days and eat way to much chocolote ice cream, and God himself knows that I do not need anymore Chocolote ice cream, or I will be saying hello to him way to early.
I think dogs are here on earth for many reasons, I think they give us a glimps of heaven actually, and I think they make this life alot easier, the life that is not always that great and easy to deal with. Dogs have to go to heaven, if they were not let it, that would be as silly as God not letting Angels back in, and that is not going to happen. Why I bet you dogs meet us at the pearly gate, so when people come over they are comforated right away. I don't see it any other way. Has anyone heard that country song " What if he's an angel" ( unsure of the singer) ......so have you hugged your dog today ? Maybe dogs are a test from God ? Considering they rely on us for everything for their whole lives. My dogs are my church. |
