Dog Debate Rules, Please read before debating:
Hello, this forum is for debate on current issues as far as dogs, and their place in society. You are welcome to bring up any topic you wish in this forum, although we do ask that you state your case and opinion on a topic, giving a detailed argument for your stance, rather than just asking about others opinions. You'll find that you get a lot more responses if you state your case on a topic up front, rather than waiting for someone to share their opinion before you.
The rules in this forum are about the same for every other forum, although if you are citing a specific piece of evidence to support your case, you must give a URL or source from which you got your information.
General rules apply, please, no profanity, no insults, no malicious actions, etc.
Debates can get heated, keep it all civil. Remember that we are a community...understand that views are going to be different. Keep a cool head, and have fun.
Also, let's remember once again what belongs in the debate forum.
DON'T post threads here that ask you what you prefer rather then not, what brand of dog food is better, etc.
DO post threads here that state your opinion clearly, and perhaps even states the opinion of nay-sayers to your view. Ask for alternatives to what you think is needed, and propose solutions to problems.
EXAMPLE:
NOT A DEBATE: I like Iams dog food because it comes in a green bag and is easy for my dog to chew. What do you all prefer?
IS A DEBATE: I like Iams dog food because it comes in a green bag and is easy for my dog to chew, while some others may think that specialty dog foods are better. I would disagree because that dog food is more expensive and harder to find, and overall, I feel that Iams does just the same good for my dog than it would for any other on any other food.
