Yeah, i think everyone's fine. I found a place near us that gives out free pet exams, so maybe i can take the dogs in for a checkup. (I think exams are just checkups?) Hopefully the vet could tell me if i should switch dog food or not.

Unhappy

Thank you so much for posting this about the dog food recall. I sent everyone I know the link last night. I just got a call from my brother, he had picked up some of the food for a treat for his dog. He is an older Jack Russel. Poor boy Rowdy just hope he will be okay. My brother was calling the local Emergency vet to talk to them. He has been acting really strange since he gave him this food ( It was President Choice pouches). Rowdy has been rolling around after going pee and just not himself. He also had several seizures. Keep Rowdy in your prayers. Thanks again for the post you may have saved my brother's dog. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you Pearl! The site was down last night so I didn't post it.

SweetPea- oh no! I hope Rowdy will be ok and that they caught it in time. Let us know what happens. I just forwarded it to all the dog owners on my e-mail list!

Phew. I'm so glad that I feed our dogs the Chicken Soup brand. I shudder to think if we still had Sadie....we had to feed her a Ekanuba brand.

Sweetpea - I hope Rowdy gets feeling better soon and that he isn't affected.

I'm soooo sorry this is going on.

Although I don't feed this kind of stuff, I realize that any food can be contaminated -- even raw and home cooked stuff. You can only pray that contamination is discovered in time to save lives.

The "Love Family" cat -- in Denver has died and they attribute it to the food.

Yet another reason I prefer to cook my girls food for them.
Little Annie has had to be on puppy food because the vet feels she needs some extra things that I mightnt give her but article like this put the fear od hell into me
