Timberwolf dog food

I'm feeding my dogs Innova Evo. However, I have been noticing that a lot of people use the Timberwolves, which is one of the ones i'm thinking of maybe trying. However, when i was reading about it a little it said that it's good to mix their food with other meat?

"Wilderness Elk Canid Formula™ is fully balanced and meets the requirements of all life stages, but we do encourage the adding of meats such as muscle meats, organ meats, sweetbreads (thymus, pancreas), eggs etc. "

Does this mean I should add food to the dry dog food? Do people who buy timberwolves do this?

I think it is mostly meant to supplement rawfoods, but can be fed a alone food, too.
The only "problem" I have with it is that it is so high in contents and so full of good ingredients that you really have to add stuff for it to be filling...
my girl can't have more than a 3/4 cup for one meal, wich is not very filling for a GSD, so I add meats and bones.
But I just feed it anyways when I forgot to defrost or wasn'r able to prep veggies
