Home Cooking

A post about Merrick dog food on another message board inspired me to start a new board. Each one of us wants the best for our dogs. We buy the best foods availabl and the best toys. We get the best trainers available for them as well as give them the best veterinary care available.
The sad fact is we trust the commercial dog food manufacturers to produce a safe nutritious food for our babies and they have let us down time and time again. With inferior ingredients, poisons and ingredient contamination.

Most people are reluctant to home cook for their dogs because:

1. They say they don't have time
2. They are unsure of the ingredients needed
3. They are unsure the dog is getting everything he needs
4. It's inconvenient
5. They simply don't like to cook.

The way I see it, is if I can cook for myself, I can cook for my dog. It takes me exactly 30 minutes to make a weeks worth of food for Brandi. Most foods that I eat the dog can eat. With the supplements available today no dog will be without proper nutrition and I will know exactly what is going into her body.

Because I feel so strongly about giving my dog what is best for her I have created a new message board strictly for support for home cooking including some getting started recipies and supplement doseages.

If you are interested in joining this no frills board to learn and contribute to the art of Home cooking for our dogs come join us.
