What foods give your dogs gas?
Mine get gas if I feed cooked egg, broccoli (cooked, they will not eat raw) and canned tuna

Another vote here for broccoli and if he eats too much cheese can give him gas a bit too. The BARF patties can sometimes affect him and I've got to admit those are the stinkiest!!

I've never really noticed anything in particular that gives either of my dogs gas. They rarely ever let one rip, but when they do it's usually loud and blastful, not typically SBD's. LOL I honestly can't even remember the last time one of em had a stinky butt!

I'm feeding Cal Natural for the first time since I've had dogs, and I don't know if I can blame the food or not, but Brody does the SBDs. Plus, he seems to strain an awful lot and has small, hard BM's. Even though I made the decision on this food based on reading GP and other research, I think I'm going to switch over to something else. I don't think he even likes the taste of Cal Nat; he noses it around in his dish, carries nuggets around and drops them in other rooms. I told the lady I buy from all this, and she said to add plain yogurt. She seemed offended when I said that for the price I pay for the food she recommends, I don't feel anything should have to be added on a daily basis. Sure, every once in awhile, just like humans may need a little more this or that in their system.
We'll see what happens with the gas, etc. when we start switching over. |
