Kadin is finally gaining
When Kadin came to my home on November 29 he weighed 18 1/2 pounds and I've been trying to put weight on him ever since. Because I home cook I hesitate to use a kibble for the extra weight gain so I've gone to using oatmeal as a filler for his dinners. He's finally beginning to show sighns of putting on some weight and I couldn't be happier. I'd like to keep him where he is right now at 21 pounds.
Brandi on the other hand is my little pig. She is maintaining at between 19 and 20 pounds right now but will chase Kadin from his food if given the chance. So when it's feeding time I make sure Kadin is safely fastened into his crate so he can have all of his food and Brandi doesn't get an extra meal... |

Nice work, Kadin and Judy!
Just curious, why fillers instead of more calories from protein and fat? |

He is getting more protein by my giving him another 1/3 c of my home cook recipe along with two tbsp of ev olive oil and the fillers. I don't want him to have any bowel problems from too much fat and the fillers are also protein rich and give him the extra carbs that he needs to burn off his energy without sacrificing any of his extra calories.
