I personally have had very good experiences feeding Canidae, my dogs do awesome on it!! Not the case for all dogs, some dogs it just doesn't agree with, like any brand though.
As far as supplements, I can't help you there. I have Rotties (who are also prone to hip/joint problems) and I don't give them anything like that. I just made sure not to let them over do things when they were young where it could cause problems for them while they were still growing and their bones were still forming. You can feed supplements but they can still have problems if you allow them to put too much strain on those joints before they're done growing. Two to three years for large breed. If there were joint problems for generations back that won't help matters either, hopefully the breeder did genetic testing on Koda's parents and they were clear. |
