Whats safe to mix in with Kibble...taste issue

Hi everyone normally I mix a small amount of wet food in with their kibble to keep them interested in breakfast.

What other options are there for mixing in with kibble to keep it interesting for them? Thanks!

This is what I've done....

Raw - Raw meats, organs and eggs work great. After a while my dogs got smart and picked the raw bits out, leaving the kibble behind. Pre-soaking or re-hydrating the kibble in water before mixing in the raw fixed that issue.

Non-Raw - Homemade simple stocks like chicken stock, fish stock and beef stock. Yogurt works great too.

No mixing method - "healthy" competition and rotating kibbles work great. We put bowls close together but we don't have food aggression.

I'm sure others will have more suggestions.

Perfect! Thank You

Anyone know of anywhere I can buy like big containers of chicken\beef\fish stock real at a reasonable price?

I may have to start rotating kibble as well they used to eat their kibble plain but have gotten bored of it as of late.

Sardines are also a good option to add in as well - makes their coats look amazing. Just make sure you try and get the no added salt/springwater version if you can.

No, unfortunately I have not seen any stocks without added salt, onion extract, onion powder or onion I had to make my own, it's really easy to make if you are just adding it to kibble and not making a "meal" out of it.

Best Chicken Stock Recipe
Add 1 whole chicken with giblets and neck to a stock pot or large kettle. Add enough water to cover, you can add more if you like. Bring to boil and simmer for 8-12 hrs. Cool, skim and discard fat layer, pick out bones and store in refrigerator upto a week. Make sure to feed meat and "jelly" at the same time, too much "chicken jello" will cause loose stools. I've fed 1/8 - 1/4 cup of stock to 1 cup kibble.

Express Chicken Stock Recipe
Add 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken or bone in chicken leg quarters to kettle of water. Same directions as above, this recipe just has no bones or less little bones to pick out Also you can simmer for as little as 30 min - 1 hr depending on the meats used if you are in a hurry.

You can alter the recipes for fish, pork and beef stocks as you like.

You could take dogs4life's chicken stock recipe and add some celery and carrots and have chicken soup...that you can eat, and so can your dogs (although, don't add salt while cooking it...if you want salt, add it later).
