Cool 1st Time Eating Raw

So I gave them chicken wings...at first they were like ''wth you want us to do with this''. Except Valentino, he took his to go lol, went to a corner and stared gnawing at it. Princess the doxie then started to gnaw at it and took some bites out of it. I guess when the others heard that bone crunching, they got the picture. They really liked it. Gah I didn't take an pictures sorry. I was real grossed out, I hate the sight of blood, ick. Next time I will. They look like about 10 minutes to eat it. Lots and lots of chewing. Valentino took like 20 minutes with his. The other dogs wanted to finish it for him, so he went in the closet to finish it lol. I think I'll be real gross out by watching them eat raw eggs....ick. It'll probably remind me of Princess eating the puppies placenta...gross.

Now I'm about to bleach my floors from the raw chicken juice ewww.

Just a word of warning - if you're bleaching your floors and then planning on feeding them on the same floor again next meal time your dogs will actually be eating bits of bleach as well.

You can train your dogs to eat on an old towel or blanket so you can wash them when you feel they're getting a bit gross (this is how River eats his raw stuff). If they move the food off of the blanket just move it back to the centre and it won't take them long to figure out how it works.

That's too funny, "took it to go", silly Valentino didn't want to share.... I'm glad it went well on the first try you're pretty lucky, not all of us are that lucky.

That's a cool idea Rivsky with the towel.

Just a thought but I feed my raw stuff outdoors now. It was grossing out other members of the family, so we moved the feeding outside as a compromise.

Maybe you could contain the feeding to a bathroom, or the kitchen?

I really want to start feeding raw..I am doing the research, and after my CNA class (Which doesn't start until July), and when I am working as a CNA I plan on getting the dogs on Raw food. (Atleast a few times a week..and then they can eat the Kirkland Signature the rest of the time).

Yeah next time I'm going to fee them outdoors. They eat their kibble on that same floor. I don't see why they put the kibble in the bowl, when 70% of it ends up on the floor, but I'm going to buy some mts for that problem.

LOL doglover why would you poison your own dogs?....my mom would freak if she knew I was feeding them raw too.
