Spots Stew

So we have been trying Dudley on a new food called Spots Stew. I heard about it on the Ellen show, and when it showed up in my pet store I decided to try it out. Dudley loves it (of course Dudley loves anything edible, even if it is not supposd to be) But this stuff smells really good, like something I might want to eat and it has peas and carrots in it ( not just listed in ingredients, but you can see them in the actual food) About a week or two into him starting on this new food his coat started getting really pretty, all soft and shiny. According to Ellen it was developed by a woman whos dog was constantly sick, and the vets couldn't figure out why, and she decided to start making his dog food herself (instead of feeding the crap they sold in the stores) and he got better. But anyway has anyone heard of this or tried it? Anyone heard anything bad about it? Or good about it?

I have only heard about it on the ellen show and it seems like a great food! It is actually human grade food with no fillers. I cannot afford it though with 4 dogs, it is very expensive at petco. 36 pounds which is what I would need is $70. How much does it cost where you get it?

Well I get the medium sized bag (last about a month with just one dog) I think it is like a 20 or 25 lb bag, and it cost I think about $22.

Now that I think about it maybe the bag isn't that big, maybe 15 lbs? I never keep the bag around, so now I can't remember, but I got a bag for the cats too (the cat brand not dog brand, lol) and it is only 6 lbs, and the one I get for Dud isn't a whole lot bigger. The cats on the other hand don't seem to like it as much.

Someone came through my line at work with a bunch of meat, and I jokingly asked if he was having a cookout and he said, no it was for his Westie! He told me about this 'spots stew' stuff, that I never looked up (lol) and said she is doing extremely well on it. He makes it himself though, and he said her teeth are whiter, her breath smells better, her coat is better--basically he was extremely happy with it!

I just tried to look it up, is it dry food?? Maybe he was talking about something else?
