Bil Jac alert

This is so not like me, as I hate to say bad things about people but...word has gotten out in my area and through my local dog club that during Bil-Jac's last few inspections, factory conditions were found to be filthy. Representatives from the AAFCO (I think this is the organization that inspected it, could be wrong) found mice droppings and cockroaches lying around. Hmmm.
I know this is WORD OF MOUTH, but it certaintly stuck with me enough to switch what I'm feeding my dogs (now feeding Nutro Natural Choice). I was so sad as my dogs LOVED Bil Jac. I'm noticing now they do have better skin and coat and are less gassy on Nutro. As someone who cares about what my dog eats, I certaintly wouldn't want to eat food that came from a factory like this. How could I expect my dogs to? Call it rumor if you may, but I care about others too, which is why I'm posting.
Leslie

wow, thanks for sharing Leslie. Our guys also love Bil Jac, so we have no clue what we are going to do about this yet.

Rendering plants are not government regulated and all of them have their share of mice, rats and other critters, and a certain amounts are even allowed in the making of the food. They claim the boiling pots kill any of the diseases they may carry. Maybe so, but no amount of boiling kills certain chemicles used in lab animals and our companion and farm animals end up with all sorts of major health related problems, and cancer and kidney problems are in epidemic proportions.
