First Clip Job...

So I got the clippers I ordered for Mandi, so she got cleaned up tonight. I couldn't get her head right, or her legs, either--so I just scissored them. Anyone have advice on how to do her head and legs?

Head and legs should be scissored... brush the hair out completely and use a comb while scissoring.

Looks good for a first job! Certainly tons better than my first time... heh!

I think you've done a great job for your first time!

It looks like you may have clipped a little too much off the underbelly and back legs, but nothing terrible. Use your main body brush (does it have metal needles?) to brush the hair in the opposite direction that it grows... so on the legs you'd be brushing up. This will 'poof' the hair more and give it more volume. But overall, it looks great! I think her ears look fine.

Well THAT would explain why it was so hard to do those parts. I think it will b e a challenge to match the length of hair on her legs and head with her body. I think right now, her legs are a little short, but I am ok with that.

How do you clip their belly? I couldn't figure out how to maneuver it to even reach under her stomach and get around her legs, so I just flipped her over on my lap.
