What do you think about these clippers?
I just wanted to know if any of you have used these clippers? What do you think about them? I am grooming my aunts dogs for her (a Lhasa and a Shih-Poo) and she just bought these clippers. The brand is "Laube." I havn't heard of them so that's why I am asking you guys. Any opinions or thoughts about this brand would be great. Thanks.

As long as they are doing what they should for you then any brand would be ok. However if your a professional groomer you would want to choose clippers of certain metal and function.

I am not a proffessional groomer I enjoy grooming and am grooming my aunts dogs for her. I just wanted to know if anyone has used these clippers what your opinion/thoughts were on them. I havn't used them yet so I don't know how good they are or if they are going to do what I need them to do. If anyone has any opinions/thoughts on these clippers I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I haven't used "Laube" brand clippers before. I didn't know which brand to pick either when we started clipping our dog's nails. I just went online, found a decent pair at www.petterritory.com, and lucked out. I think they were by "Votoy". I'm sure the most important thing is your technique.

I have Kim Laube clippers. They are great clippers if you need to clip a thick coated bred because it has a faster stroke per/minute then other clippers. The one downside I've found with mine is the blades tend to heat up really fast. On a regular coat type I prefer using either Andis or Oster clippers.

Laube vs others
Laube clippers, in my opinion, just didnt hold up as well as the other brands. They were easy to use and comfortable, but didnt really last. Oster is a tried and true brand, but seem heavy and bulky to me. What i use on a daily basis is Andis. Lightweight, sturdy, long lasting, easy to replace blade drives if need be, I wouldnt use anything else. But of course, clipper manufacturers are getting wiser and they have come a long way!
