My groomer suggested Head and Shoulders which I have been using for a year or so with great results.

I dont think I would use human shampoo on any of my dogs.
It really isnt designed for washing dogs as they have more delicate skin than us tough old humans

have you tried adding oil into your dogs meal?
one is aristopet megacoat it has had good results with some of my friends small breeds with itchy skin that had actually turned into sores.

Diet is always the first thing I look at. But there are quality dog shampoos out there to help skin conditions. Coat Handler is great on Poodles! I have heard of doing a vinegar rinse, but not as a leave-in.

I have heard selson blue helps rid cocker spaniels of the "cocker crud" (yeasty seborreah cockers are notorius for). Never have used it. But there are alot of ingredients in people shampoo that are identical in pet shampoo. I agree that diet is the first thing to look at. Dry skin may actually not be dry skin but infact some type of allergic reaction to an ingredient in the diet). Or the skin can get staph infection and also yeast infections. So dry kin may actually not be dry...

I would never use human shampoo on any dog. Invest in some oatmeal shampoo and as other's said look at her diet to see why she is getting dry skin.

I would never use human shampoo either, but it seems to work out for some people and their dogs. Since I have to bath my Yorkies once a week, I use #1 All Systems. I use the shampoo/conditioner as well as the conditionier, but they are all diluted down quite a bit. I use a hand made doggie soap on Delsi, my 13 year old Chihuahua that I buy from a lady in Canada.
Also I use vinegar as a final rinse to keep fleas off, but would not use the vinegar and water at 50x50. That's too harsh and will dry the skin. Use like 1/4 cup of white vinegar to 1 cup of distilled water and leave in as the final rinse.
