Greenies are in the news again!
I'm glad this kind of information is getting coverage:

i've just been hearing too much about this. i've stopped giving amlet greenies, but i still use the hartz and nylabone edibles. i'm really close to giving those up too, but he just loves them soooo much. it's really unfortunate, all this. you don't even know what's safe anymore.i feel that i need to consult with my vet for everything.

I stopped giving Chloe greenies months ago after the first article was posted about the dangers of this treat. It's really sad when you think you have found a healthy tasty treat for your dog, then find out that all along you were just increasing the chances of an intestinal blockage.
While the stories are sad and unfortunate, I'm glad the people who have had bad expierences with greenies have come out and alerted other unsuspecting dog owners like me. |

With more negativity surrounding the whole greenie thing, a lot of folks have stopped giving them to their dogs, which I am glad to hear. I will NOT give my pugs those things. It's not worth the risk just for the sake of them having something to gnaw on.

Looking for Greenies victims
My name is Tom Lyden and I'm an investigative reporter with FOX 9 News in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
I would be interested in talking to any pet owners in Minnesota who've had a problem with these Greenies. I'm surprised they're still on the market. Tom Lyden FOX 9 News **Edit - Members are welcome to PM you with their information if they chose to do so however, it is against our guidelines to post phone numbers and email addresses within public posts unless posting rescue contact information. Thanks ** |
