This was on TV awhile back as well. Also if the animals that were PTS some places didn't care and still used them which would have traces of the drug in it Very sad thats why the animals they use for pet food can not be PTS.

none of those foods should be fed for other reasons -- not that it makes a difference.

these foods have been tested for canine and feline DNA and came up negative. The drugs are not from euthanized cats or dogs.

I think it shows you have to be sure you feed a good quality food. Notice neither pedigree or Purina had a single positive result.
Its a shame you guys in America dont have the same regulations as we do in the UK, All pet food must be deemed fit for human consumption.
It would really help the vets in America in their battle against these ridiculously unsuitable "natural diets" and "homemade-diets" if they could garuntee the same in all commercial pet foods instead of having to recommend extremely expensive ones the whole time.
