Delsi's Teeth Cleaning Today.
Well she passed with flying colors. He tested her first to see how she would do with the anesthesia. Her blood work up was excellent and she only had one tooth pulled. It was a tiny one and was loose. She was so hungry and thirsty. I've got her all tucked in her blankie beside her daddy and she's sleeping. He sent us home with Antirobe Aquadrops (clindamycin) to be used for 5 days once a month. I am so relieved tonight that I'm starting to unwind.
I did ask him about the canine flu. He said it started at the dog race track circut on the east coast and spread into FL. He said the flu was just as serious to the dogs as our human flu is to us, but not to panic since it's not spreading very fast, plus a vaccine is soon to be out, but like our flu's it may mutate into another strain. Said it should be treated just like we do in humans. |

That's good news!
I need to get Cozy in for teeth cleaning next month. That was the one thing that my DH was to be responsible for. No amount of lecturing, even pictures of dogs under anesthesia, made an impression. I must (unwillingly) take equal responsibility. I have hard enough time remembering to brush my own teeth. Yorkies are predisposed to plaque build up. ![]() |
