Financial Aid for puppy vacs!

Does anyone know of anything such as a Funds group that will help you pay for your puppy's vaccinations? I have heard of the CAAP here in Stillwater, OK, but they won't help me pay for her shots and I am not 100% sure that I can pay for them! I should have some money on Friday but if I can get some help to pay for the shots I would much rather want to have the money from Friday for some food! If anyone knows of a place that can help with that I would love to know about them! Thanks!!

not that i am aware of.

if you can't even afford vaccines for your pup, perhaps you should rethink keeping her. vaccines are the cheap part of dog ownership.

My son got a dog while he was a student and things were a bit tight with him also. Good thing "Mom and Dad" kept him supplied in INNOVA and he bought the medicine to give the shots himself. I think he got it at the local feed store. It sure was cheap.

I am sorry you are having a tough time financially but I have never heard of any organisation that gives out money for basic necessities like vaccinations.

last friday I had to pay 500 dollars out for my girl Chloe and I can tell you we are eating whatever is in the house for the next 3 weeks.
Part of owning a dog is somtimes having to do it hard in the interest of your pup.
If your parents cant help and you cant afford to care for this baby perhaps you should think about rehoming him. I dont mean to sound hard but dogs are an expensive luxury and they need vaccinations and desexing etc for their own well being, unfortunately all this costs

I didn't post this for people to assume that I am being selfish, or for people to tell me to rethink keeping her! I know what it is like to have a dog and what I have to do for them...My Chloe was VERY sick when I first got her and I probably spent 300 of my hard earned dollars to pay for her medicines, and doctors appointments! So I know the cost of a puppy, but at the moment I am in between jobs and in between homes. I am moving in about 3 weeks and do not have a job at the moment, so therefore I don't have 50 dollars just hanging around, in fact I don't have 50 dollars....I am looking for someplace to help me pay for the shots...but if I cannot find anything then that is FINE I can wait until I get some money to get her shots...it would just be nice to have her in there now when her shots are due and get her a check up. So I'm not looking for someone to tell me to get rid of my dog. I can handle it, but it has to wait, and if I can use that 50 dollars to maybe feed myself and my dogs, instead of getting vacs then that would be great...but I can starve to take care of my dogs, I have done it time and again. Keep in mind though that being a student and dating/living with a full-time student doesn't allow for a lot of money, once we get her vacs done we will be out of the woods. Because when it is time for her to be spayed I will have a job and be able to afford it.

Tress I am sorry if you have been offended by the postings here but one thing we all agree about is the welfare of the dog.

I reread my post and to be honest i dint see myself as attacking you in anyway but rather laying the honest options out in the best interest of your dog.
personally I would only ever part with an animal if I had absolutely no other choice.
Unfortunately for people there are very little avenues for financial aide for pets.
Could your parents help??

Is there a local human society in your area? Perhaps if you call them they have a program or knows of one.

Try your local humane society--about low cost vaccines--also if you have a large pound where you are you might try them as well-- I know the Large shelter here has a drive through vaccine clinic once a wk that is LOW cost--they do it to get dogs caught up on shots as well as get them licensed in the city--Just a thought..

Some vet clinics offer care credit, or a similar type of payment plan, for low income or emergency situations. You should check into that.
Also, your local humane societies might be able to direct you to financial assistance for this type of thing. I know one in my area that has a whole page of numbers dedicated to that.
You should also see if any organizations, such as shelters or vet/vet tech schools in the area, are offering low cost vaccination programs.
Just a few ideas.

Sorry, I just noticed the # of replies on this was more than I originally saw. I must have scrolled past the last couple. So I apologize for repeating information.
