Spaying

I talked to my vet about a couple of things today. One of which was spaying. Right now, she has had an allergic reaction to something, and is on a couple different medicines, and she is still in heat (it is ending soon). He said he won't spay her untill all of that stuff has settled down, so that gives me time to prepare!

Is there any specific questions I should ask before? He said it would be a one day thing, where I would drop her off early in the morning, and get her at night. He gave me the price which included all of the meds., the cost of keeping her there, etc. Is there something else I should ask about before putting her under??

Another concern of mine is that they plan on pulling her one baby tooth out that is still in. I read a while ago on here(I think) about some dog's jaws breaking? Should I be worried about that? Also, is there any other things I should be prepared for that I would not think of? This is my first dog, meaning my first spay, etc.

Thanks for the help!

Cindy Lou had one of her baby teeth pulled while she was being spayed and did not have any problems. I think the breaking of the jaw thing is a slim possiblity. If you are concerned, ask the vet how common it is. He could give you a better idea on how common/rare it is. I hope that she is feeling better soon. She certainly is a cutie pie!
