If you are going to switch foods, do it gradually, this can upset their tummies as well. You may see some other problems arise if you go straight to a new food. Mix it first, gradually adding more of the new brand as you go along.

My Dobe, Lyric has a tendency toward the worst gas. I could start a company if I could bottle it and put the others out of business.

I switched him off of foods containing corn and went to a single source protein food with simpler ingredients. I now have him on Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance, venison and brown rice formula. This has helped a whole lot. You won't find it in the grocery store, but Petco has it and perhaps some feed stores. It is designed for dogs with allergies and dogs with sensative stomachs. There are other single source protein foods, but I forget the names of them.

Blitz has always done that no matter what food he's on. I don't worry about it...there are much bigger things to worry about in life.

Shamous has the same issues...It is so gross. I have to put something over my face to block the smell and it still creeps in. He sleeps in the bedroom with us in his crate. Between him and my Boyfriend...yeesh, it is taking the curl right out of my hair. Jim says if anyone is being executed in a gas chamber, all we have to do is put shamous in there and they will be dead in seconds. lol
