Unhappy Is my dog sick??

For the last 3 days Kaede has not been himself.

He eats maybe 1 cup a day of his food and before he was eating 4-5cups. He still drinks his normal amount.

He keeps throwing up but swallows it right away. It's been happening alot lately. It really smells bad too.

He is restless when he's awake, but otherwise sleeps alot.

He has had all his shots and is neutered, and I have not changed his routine. He gets about 2 hours of exercise per day besides yard time. He seems fine during that time.
I can't think of anything that could have stressed him out. No changes have happened.

Also on 3 of his claws on 3 different paws the part that is normally pink is all blood red. The last time I cut his claws was 4 weeks ago and I've done it lots and know not to go near the pink. I can't see anything split on his nails either. Could this have any connection to the way he's acting???

I'm pretty worried because this is not normal behaviour for him.

That sounds very serious. I would go straight to the vet as soon as you can, if I were you. The nail thing has me totally worried, I have never heard of this before. Poor appetite and throwing up for more than 2 days is pretty serious too. Let us know what the vet says and good luck.

I agree-- I would def. have him checked out by your vet--Not eating and throwing up more then 24 hours should be checked out.. Keep us posted and let us know how he is..

Please call your vet ASAP, throwing up here and there happens, but anything over 24 hours should be checked on. Also the fact that his feet are looking strange scares me. Please get to the vet and get your baby checked out.

I called the vet and explained what was wrong I was told it could be gastritis or enteritis and to fast him 24 hours, and then feed him something light for his stomach for the first meal, like barley or brown rice.
He said if it persists after that to bring him down, but he does not think it's anything more.
So here's hoping.
