Well Here we go
We tonight was our entry into the world or RAW. After having done the research, at least as much as I could, and doing some shopping I fed Maggie her first RAW meal tonight. I didn't know if I really believed that you could find chicken for really cheap, but I got some leg quarters for $.49/Lbs. I thought wow, not bad. Maggie took a little while to warm up to the idea, about 5 or 6 minutes, but then she seemed to get right into it. She didn't like being confined in the kitchen to eat, but I knew she would run all over if I didn't, and I think I was right. We are not going totally RAW, at least right now, because my Fiance isn't up to it. She will let me do it when I feed her, which is once a day, but the other time, at least right now, she refuses to do it.
Anyways, thought I would announce, thanks for all the advice on here it really helps. |

I am doing the same thing with my dogs. I taught them to stay on their blankets while they eat. When they are done I wash them out in a bucket with bleach and water and then hang them to dry outside or I put them in the dryer if it's raining. ( I mean the blankets, not the dogs...LOL) Bailey digs right in to the chicken backs and Lucy slowly picks at hers. Lucy can take over an hour to eat hers. I am trying to get weight on Lucy so I feed her kibble in the morning and raw at night with plenty of snacks inbetween. I haven't noticed any big differences in the dogs yet except Bailey's breath is much better.
