Question OVER excited POoping! Is it possible?

Can a dog get so over excited from going for walks that they poop more? My boy always poops when we first start out walking and it is firm, then as we walk more sometimes he may go two more times but then it gets loose GROSS topic of conversation but I'm just curious.

I've never heard of that...my pup poops more if he's been to the barn, but just once more that day than normal. What are you feeding and when do you feed in relation to the walks?

We had a dog that would poop everytime we got 1/2 to 1 block. Never failed. Just thought it was because of all the other smells that could have speeded things up.

that's totally normal. more running= more pooping
stuff moving through digestive tract faster = less time to reabsord water= runnier poos

That's what I was thinking because of all the scents and excitement of the walk it makes him go more . The place I walk is in wooded trails where lots of other dogs frequent and we usually walk for about an hour and a half and in that time frame he will go about 3 -4 times. It starts off normal and then can get yucky. I think part of his problem too, is that he is so stimulated by the excitement and smells that when he goes that one time first he doesn't just let it all go at once What a topic!

Shamous does the same thing. i always joke that he poops so much on our walks that his head should theoreticly come out his butt. On occasion I will ask Shamous if he still has his pancreas or did that come out too.
