Question Frequent Urination from skin allergy shot?

Scout got neutered on Mon. he is doing well now, just healing up from from the stitches. We began to notice after we brought him home that he was drinking soooo much water and peeing on the floor (he had been potty trained so this was unusual). We waited a few days and it did not get better so we began to think it was a problem. We brought him back to the vet and he said he thought it was a side effect of the shot he gave him for his skin allergies. It is getting better but he still is having a few accidents a day. When we got home we researched the side effects of the shot and sure enough drinking a lot of water and frequent urination was one of them! It is now Sunday and we can't wait for him to stop peeing in the house, have any of you ever had side effects like this? If so, how long did it take for this to wear off?

assuming he got a steroid injection, which lasts about 6wks for his allergies; will usually last as long with the pu/pd as well. Sorry for what you're going through.
