It does sound like it could be allergies. Weimaraners, who have similar skin problems as dobermins, often develop the same little white bumps, look similar to "zits".
This can be caused by many different allergens, but the most common is a food allergy.
What are you feeding? Have you been feeding the same thing throughout the Cephalexin?
In the past, we had a Weim that had allergies, the bumps were the most obvious sign. We switched kibbles and it cleared up.
I now feed raw and have almost complete control over what the dogs eat, you could also look at this.
If you think it may be a food allergy, try keeping a food diary, listing what your dog eats everyday and what her current symptoms are. Keep track of any changes in food or symptoms. This will help if you go back to the vet, or continue to diagnose the problem yourself.

You said in another thread that you fed him Pedigree...I'd say that would be the problem.

Cass.

keep doing your research and find a good kibble. There are lots of stickys here on nutrition. Kudos for you for taking the time to read about nutrition!!!
I also agree completely with Cass about the Pedigree, that's most likely your problem!

there' no need to boil the meat, and you're causing a potential hazard by boiling the bones. Give it to him all raw, his body will make more use of it that way.
