Dog has runny and cold nose

Hello Everyone,

I have noticed that for the last couple of days my dog has had a runny nose. His nose is also cold not warm like it usually is. He is eating, playing fine.

I have heard him sneeze a couple of times, but it is not all the time just his normal sneezing.

Today I noticed that he had loose stool, but until today the last of couple of days it was normal.

I am not sure if my dog has some type of dog cold or just allergies. Does anynone have any suggestions? I plan to call the vet on Monday.

Thank You

Calling your vet is a good idea, so many things can cause a runny nose , so consulting an expert is the wisest thing to do. When my boy had a runny nose it was a sinus infection but allergies can do the same thing. Let us know what your vet says, hopefully, it will be nothing serious. Good Luck

I was going to suggest maybe an allergy due to the change of season and the different grasses. I would still however check with my vet. My girls always have cold noses and most times a little moist as well lol

Have you taken his temp.? Generally if it's just allergies it will be normal, but with cold's they run a slight temp.

I wanted to let you know that I took my dog to the vet yesterday for an exam. They did not find anything but told me to keep an eye on him and if things get worse to bring him in for some test

my boys seem to always have a cold nose, which they press against me when I'm cold
Hope your pup is ok.
