Exclamation Puppy stool

Hi, I need some advice. My 5 month old puppy just went to the bathroom (poop) and there was mucus in his stool. Is this something that I should call the dr about?

yes definitly just call. at the least they'll want a stool sample. ive been through this a few times since we got lucy. she did have worms at the beginning but treated, then came back & they did all the tests (giardia etc) and negative. sometimes its just something they eat (being they find everything to eat they are not suppose to - : )...sometimes just stressed out.. i would call though..

Definetly call your vet. They are the only ones who can perform tests on the dogs stool, and check them out to be sure there is nothing wrong

Best of luck. I hope it is nothing serious. Keep us posted.

I am glad you are taking him to the vet. Especially as he is young.
