Really depends on the pup, was he doing this before at all or just something thats started recently?

Pups can have a difficult time teething and tend to be a bit restless. If you want to see if it makes a difference try taking a tug rope or buy one of you don't already have one, soak it in water and then freeze it. Give it to your pup and see if he settles down a bit.

Gee Milo, I don't know. My dogs never seemed to be bothered by losing their teeth. He is teething so it is very possible that he is bothered by sore gums. Does he act like he needs to go outside to pee pee when he wakes you? Or is he just restless? I guess as long as he seems healthy and happy otherwise and you don't think he needs to go to the bathroom, (hard to know) I'd just maybe say one time only whatever you say when you put him to bed....ie: "go to bed." Say it quietly and then no more. You'll just have to ignore him until he goes back to sleep.

Does he have something that is safe for him to chew on when you can't supervise him? You could put one of those Kongs (don't know if you have them there) or other hard rubber toy that you can freeze ahead of time. Cold things sometimes make the gums feel better. But make sure it's nothing he can break pieces off of or choke on or swallow threads from etc......
