Can anyone help

I am staying at a friends house while she is on holiday looking after her chow dog. unfortuantly she is not eating her food and has been pulling at her fur (missing mummy i think), i think she has abit of fur in her throat as she is coughing, she has no problem breathing but i am a little concerned by the cough. can anyone give me any advice on what to do or should i go to the vet?

I'd certainly take her to the vet. Coughing is always a worry.
As for her missing mum...perhaps some distraction might work? Taking her out to new places and trying to wear her out each day maybe?

Cass.

actually I agree with Cass. A trip to the vet definately. If it were my dog and someone was babysitting I would want them to do that right away. Let us know how things go
