Prozyme--anyone use/recommend?

Has anyone used this product with good results? It's supposed to help allergies and a myriad of other problems, and Missie seems to be having digestive issues. The vet is stumped, and I'm at my wit's end, so I wondered if something like this could work? Thanks for all input.

Wow, it sounds too good to be true! It sounds like a wonderful additive, but I just have a dumb question...it states that this product enhances zinc absorbtion, and zinc in post 1980 pennies can be fatal for dogs so I'm just wondering if zinc absorbtion with this product is a good thing? I guess I'm not sure exactly what a dog can tolerate in the way of zinc. I think one penny made after 1980 can be fatal for a dog if ingested? Does anyone know?

Zinc is present in every body tissue and every tissue fluid. Among trace minerals in the body, only iron is found in greater concentration in the canine. Zinc serves two broad purposes; enzyme function and protein synthesis. Dogs actually need some zinc for healthy coats and skin in the diet is necessary for normal pigmentation of the coat. Tiny, I haven't used it but have heard good things about it.

No problem The pennies however, your right and that is due to the high concentration as well as other trace amounts from additional sources that cause the problem.

I think I'm just going to try it. I figure it probably can't hurt anything, and I'm getting desperate for answers. The vet is stumped, and I'll call tomorrow to see if the giardia test results are in (I'd bet money they're negative). *sigh* Thanks CyBill and Crossfire!!
