throwing up
Jakes been throwing up all day, bile mostly, that horrid yellow stuff. there was some on the floor in the morning, then he brought up his breakfast and now has been doing it all day long. didnt give him dinner tonight as i thought it might help. strange thing is he is absoloutly fine in himself (knock on wood) hes running around, playing with bennie, and enjoyed playing ball on his walk. i just dont get it. hes not eaten anything out of the ordanary to my knowledge. Do you think i should take him to see the vet? this really stresses him out so much that he pees on the vet table, so i only want to take him if im sure its neccessery. Anyone know why he is being sick? Its really odd.

My old dog used to throw up that yellow bile too. Actually he had gastro issues, and needed to be fed 3 times a day even as an adult. Some dogs just can't go on two meals a day. The long space between is too much. Feed the same amount, just divided by 3 instead of two.
Apart from that, I'd suggest getting him to a vet to make sure there isn't anything seriously wrong. |

he seems to be peeing and drinking perfectly fine, and yes he did eat lot of grass on his walk but he was throwing up before that. id say overall he has thrown up about 15 times throughout the day, it was bile but he has just done it again and its basically water coming out. Its midnight here in the UK so i'll be taking him to the vets first thing tommorow.

Yes, please let us know what the vet has to say and we'll be keeping our fingers and paws crossed her for you!

It's about 7am your time if I'm not mistaken.... when is your vet appt?? You've got me worried about your little guy.
And grass does not make dogs throw up, not directly. My dogs eat grass everyday, but they eat so naturally it's just their form of getting some extra greens and fiber. Alley eats the most, and she has always had the weakest digestive tract. Dogs will actually consume grass to help settle an upset stomach. |

hey, well Jake has been fine today
Its really quite odd, the last time he threw up was a little while after i typed my last reply and that was over 24 hours ago. We took him down the vets anyway and she couldnt find anything wrong whatsoever, she said she could do some tests on his poop to see if it was anything bad he has eaten, but seeing as he is fine now we dont really need to. So, its a mystery, we will probly never know what caused it, and hopefully it wont happen again. Very odd indeed |
