My baby boxer has lumps very bad. It started the other morning I woke up and went to work and she was fine. but when my wife woke up just a little bit later she notice all of these lumps all over her body. So she took her to the vet at 10:30 AM and by 6:00 PM they had given her 3 shots of antihistamine. She look fine when we picked her up. But by 8:30 PM she was starting to get the lumps all over again. We gave her benadryl like the Dr. said but it only slowed it down. I woke up again at 3:00 AM and she is back to full blown lumps all over her again. Please if anyone has any helpfull info PLEASE let me know. We are very worried. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Only advice I can give is take her straight back to the vet (or possibly to a different vet for a second opinion).

The bumps are a reaction by the body to something... could be stress, an allergy, etc.
If the Bendaryl is only slowing it down,. then you need to see the vet to get you something stronger.. but you also need to figure out what the trigger is! Have you changed foods recently, laundry detergent, floor cleaners, and so forth, or is there something new in the dog's routine?? |

Her daily routine has not changed at all. Still the same food. Eveything seems to be normal. The only real thing that has changed is we put up our christams tree. It is fake but I don't think that is it, because we have had it up for about 5 days.

Your best bet is to go back to the vet so he/she can do additional tests. Please let us know if they find out anything and we will send positive vibes your way. Good luck.

I agree with everyone else. No vaccines and go straight back to the vet (or another for second opinion) to figure out what's causing this.
Hope your baby gets better soon! Keep us posted! |

I second, third and fourth all of the afore given info. No vaccinations at this time and let us know how it goes at the vets!

My beagle Boxer recently had the same problem. It turned out that she was allergic to either cedar chips in our dog kennel or mouse droppings and nest that was also in the kennel.
She had bumps off and on like your dog for three days until I shut the kennel, and she hasn't had bumps since. Your dog is allergic to something. Is it possible a mouse had been crawling on the fake tree while in the box, was there a mouse nest in the box? Is your dog getting into somethign outside? |

K guys.. just got her back from her Doctor "stay" LOL and her last antihistamine shot was at 11am and she's still holding strong... They DIDN'T give her vaccines thankfully.. we saw a different vet today and he said he was 99% sure it was from an insect bite.. sooo we just have to wait for it to clear her system and Benadryl her up! LOL! BUT.. no bumps since 11am and it's 5pm now.. so there's HOPE! Thanks for your help guys!!
