Question about Teething

Shamous is 13 months old. Obviously he has teethed. Past few days he has not been his normal annoying self. He is eating but very little. Pooping and peeing ok. He just seems more mellow. It seems to me I read some where dogs get another set of teeth around 1 yr. IS that right? I'm thinking he just doesn't feel good. Maybe hurting a little? Nothing I can outwardly say is wrong...just different. Maybe growing up a little too? I have checked, squeezed, rubbed and poked EVERY square inch of him and he is showing no pain anywhere...phew.

( I did pull a tick off him last week, not a deer tick so no worries about lyme disease, but can another type of tick make him sick?)
