alittle worried
I found a pea size lump on casey's back over by his lower spine area today. I did not notice it there earlier otherwise i'd be calling the vet sooner, it seems like it just popped out of no where. I was on the couch petting him while he was napping and that's when i found it
Im just hoping that he was playing alittle rough with the other dogs and that they might have knicked him to cause the bump. BUT deep down inside i have a feeling that it might be a cyst, I will be calling the vet tomorrow for some advice or if he recommends bringing Casey in anyway. Please keep your fingers crossed that it is just a cyst and not cancer....I'm alittle paranoid right now, it sucks that the vet is closed and i can't call him right this minute!....( we live in a small town country area and they don't have long hours like the vets in the city). |

I'll be keeping Casey in my thoughts and prayers that it isn't anything serious. Please let us know what you find out.

I really hope it isn't anything too serious!
Harley has a lump on one of his front legs. I kept telling my mum we should get it checked out, but she said it looks like nothing to worry about. Luckily, besides getting a little bigger, the lump has been fine since 2 years when it first showed up. |

fingers crossed that it's nothing serious! chances are that it's no big deal, but it's always good to check. i'm totally paranoid about my dogs, too.

Thanks for the support guys. The vet did think it is a cyst, he says that some cysts never grow and it just stays on the dog for the rest of their lives, and says sometimes they even go away on their own. BUT he says to keep an eye on it anyways and if it gets any bigger definately bring him in and so he can run some tests to make sure it's not a tumor and discuss the options of possibly surgically removing the bump if it gets any worse.
I just love my vet, he is really good at keeping my nerves down . So for now all i can do is just keep an eye on it. Right now it doesn't seem to bother Casey, so im sure he'll be fine, thanks again for the positive thoughts, sometimes i need it and im sure you all been there when something goes wrong ![]() |
