Migrating Microchip?
I am planning on calling my vet but as always I thought I'd ask here first! As I was petting Chloe tonight I felt a small bump on her back in between her shoulder blades. I'm pretty sure it's her home again chip, as it's roughly the right size and location but I've never notiiced it before. I thought they put those down in between the muscle, not just underneath the skin? I'm wondering if it has migrated up and if this is a problem. Has anyone had an expierience with this happening? Like I said I plan on calling, but I'm not super worried because it doesn't feel like a cyst or tumor, it's about the size of a match head and very hard.
thanks! Lindsey |

My Zada's chip is easily felt too. I don't think they will come out or work their way to a different area. She's had hers for nearly two years and it hasn't moved. You could consult with your Vet. to see what he thinks.

A friend of mine has a staffy and her chip has moved towards her shoulder - you can feel it and kinda see it as well so it does happen. Get it checked with your vet for sure - but in my friend's case they say it's not bothering her and hasn't moved again so they say it's fine.

Thanks for the replies! I feel a little better knowing that there are other people who can feel their dogs chips. I didn't have time to call the vet today, but will tomorow. Thanks again!
