Poor little guy
My friends 2 1/2mth old Lab, Rocky, ate a large ball of plactic food wrap from the garbage can. He came to me this morning asking what he should do. Roc ate it Sunday morning, then was throwing up all night and this morning. I told him to call the vet ASAP, which he did. No suprise, the doc told him to bring him in right away.
The vet give them some meds to brake down the plactic, but if it doesn't pass by tomorrow, they will have to surgically remove it. Poor little guy, i'm so worried for him, I can't get it off my mind. Then again, I'm a little upset with my friend for not putting the can somewhere out of reach. |

I hope he will be all right.
I know a Lab that ate a needle from a sewing machine, they did regular x-rays to see where it was and it passed right trough without any problems. I know of a dog that ate a Brillo pad, he didn't get so lucky, the pad fell apart inside and they ended up putting him down, there was no way of getting all the little pieces of the pad out of the dog ![]() One has to be very careful some dogs will eat anything. |

I am gladd it passed ok without them having to do surgery
I am very afraid of my pets having to go through surgery. I have lost a pet through surgery and I know how it feels to be worried like that I am glad Rocky made it out ok ![]() |

I suppose those of us that have raised kids are a bit more aware of the hazardous possibilities just lurking in and around the house, but again we do get a bit careless, or even drop things we didn't know we had. Accidents happen to the best of folks. My Vet. has a collage of things hanging on a peg board that was taken out of pets, and that sure puts the fear of God in you. I can't believe all the things dogs will eat!!
