Zada's visit with new Vet. this morning.
I had been trying to find an Holistic Vet. and found one in Santa Maria. Made Zada an appointment last week for today. Dr. Vale is very nice, he was faxed Zada's blood test results that showed her to have a hyper thyroid and that I didn't want to put her on medication. That's why I went to him, to see if there was an alternative treatment. He gave me some homeopathic medication to squirt on her gums three times a day for two weeks, then twice a day then once a day. I sure hope this helps her. She just has no energy anymore, and dispite the diet I put her on three weeks ago, she still hasn't lost even an ounce.

Best of luck to you and Zada, and glad you found what you were looking for. I hope this homeopathic medicine gives her some improvements!

Why were you opposed to giving her medicine? I had a dog who lived a wonderful long life on medicine for a thyroid issue?
How long until the vet does a blood test to see if it is making a difference in her little body? |

My grandparents who raised me from birth never believed in medications. My grandmothers mother was Cherokee Indian and taught her all the cures with herbs and such. She even fed her dog real food. I went on to live the same way after I got married. It's a way of life for me. I would rather take the homopathic approach.
