Does anyone know of any really good Animal Hospitals in Fl/GA??

Hello,
I was hoping for some help, I just recieved a call from one of my friends. They have a yr old Weim who fell off the boat today and was caught by the propeller. She told me his front leg is really mangled and his jaw is broken along with other cuts. They took him to the vet right away but the vet doesnt handle trauma. So if you know any very good animal hospitals in FL/GA please let me know. Thanks Guys

Yikes, how scary!

I hope your friend was able to find an animal hospital that would take him in. Poor boy, I hope he isn't too traumatised by this incident, and I hope he a fast as possible recovery.

I just wanted to say thanks for everyones concern. Beau pulled through the night and was taken to an Animal Hopsital in Jacksonville this morning for more evaluations. He is being kept there overnite and in the morning they will determine if his leg can be and if they are able to do it. They advised my friend that you have to be referred to UF so it is still possible that they will be making the trip to Gainsville. They decided to go to Jax because we live about 2 1/2 hrs from UF and they didn't think he would be able to last that long. But hopefully after they evaluate him hopefully we will get some more good news. I will keep everyone posted.

Their vet didn't recommend an emergency hospital to go to? If not, I think that's a bit rude. Any vet that I have gone to has told me about emergency vets, or specialists if they cannot perform a procedure at their clinic.

Anyhow, glad they were able to find somewhere to go. Poor thing, that has to be awful

this is a pic of Bo after the accident. But the good news is that the vet thinks everything is going to be alright. He came the surgery today and it doing very well

Youch, poor boy... that all looks quite painfull!

I'm so happy to hear that he won't be losing his leg though! It's fantastic news!
