Bad diarrhoea

my kavik has been having bad diarrhoea since yesterday now, it started off darkish , vomited this morning , yellow , foamy . His faeces are now a yellow colour too, mucous & blood in his watery faeces today, he wants to eat but he can't even eat a biyt of chicken without passing it straight out again , hes been starved for 12 hrs as only a pup , but this VERY FREQUENT passing of watery , then bloody , watery faeces is getting such a pain , vet gave him some PRO-KOLIN without us taking him in to see him , he says it sounds like a gastro enteritis condition, not sure if i should take him in to see the vet as not able to eat a thing without running outside to pass faeces again, poor littler man.worried as hes only a pup . Hes ok in himself & wants to play still but i am trying to keep him quiet.

Hi
I would bring in a stool sample to have it tested for Giardia and Clostridium.
My husky pup went through this and it took a really long time to get better, she did test positive for Giardia.
I hope Kavik is feeling better soon.
