Which vitamins do you give your dogs?

I give my dog vitamins for a healthy lifestyle, but I think the Centrum Silvers that I give him are too strong. Does anyone have experience using children's chewable vitamins? That seems like a better option for smaller bodies.

I give my boy an doggie vitamin (sorry can't think of the brand right now and I can't be bothered going to the kitchen to look, but I'll edit this post later on when I find out), but he's very ill. I'm not sure a healthy dog on a correct diet would need vitamins.
Childrens vitamins - I've used these for my boy as well when he was in a particularly bad way and I didn't have the canine equivilant, they worked really well for him.

He's a Chihuahua by the way.

Cass.

Be very careful with adding vitamins-- especially with kibble fed dogs.
Kibble isn't the most nutritious thing in the world but it has lots of added in vitamins. Too much of certain vitamins is toxic.

If you want to make your dog's food more healthy how about adding some canned-- (much easier to digest and get the nutrients out) or better yet, feeding some fresh or raw food.

I only supplement with Omega 3's (in the form of fish body oil) and vit E (vit E needs are higher with added omega 3's) I also supplement with a joint supplement for my dog's specific needs.

If you are feeding a good food, vitamins are not necessary.
