Exclamation VERY Worried!!!!

Maggie is bleeding again . It looks like she is in heat....heavily but she's spayed . Last time she had a little blood in her urine she was diagnosed with cystis. I can't take her anywhere tonight because I don't have a car to get her to the emergency vet..And no one will drive me . Our regular vet is obviousely closed until tomarow. I so hope I can get her in there tomarow . I am so worried and on the verge of tears. I can't afford any kind of surgery right now. I don't want to lose my girl.

Get her to a vet immediately! Be persistent to everyone who won't drive you. As far as I know, it could be one of three things:

1. Stump Pyometra - This is caused when a spaying may have gone wrong. When a dog is spayed, the cervix and a "stump," where the uterus was attached to, are left behind. The stump can become infected and, if left untreated, can be fatal. Some symptoms are: vomiting, loss of appetite, depression, and increased drinking/urinating.

2. Some tissue may have been left behind after the spay and this could cause signs of being in heat. If this is the case, surgery may be necessary to remove the tissue.

3. A UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)

I hope it's nothing too serious, but those are what I think it could be... It could also be another case of cystis - I'm no vet. But I can tell you that I think you should get her to one ASAP.

Good luck!

Is it possible to get a taxi? As long as she's crated she should be allowed in the cab.

Cass.

Can you at least ring an e-vet so that if she does need treatment ASAP they could try and talk to someone for you about how important it is to get her seen to straight away?

I'd definitely take the day off from school tomorrow and get her in to see the vet. Can you borrow someone's car? Hope everything works out..

Okay I took off early from school today. Only to learn that I can't get her into until 4pm and the E-vet is packed. So im going to wait until four and take her then...I only have $39 but hopefully I can work out some sort of deal I have before. And the poor girl has worms again (just found this out today) because she is a poop eater *cringes*. So I will have to get her treated for that too and get more Forbid.
