Ruptured Cruciate Ligament

My pit sustained a ruptured cruciate ligament following a bath at a training facility. The injury required surgery which is followed by 3 months of downtime. My gut feeling is that my dog was mishandled during her bath as she has never been lame before and is not overweight. Of course the facility claims no responsibility but my poor dog is suffering tremendously

. Has anyone ever had an issue like this before?

I've never had to deal with this, but knew of someone who took their poodle in for just a trim, and they ended up shaving the dog all the way down and the dog had cuts here and there. But I'm sorry to hear about your situation. And it does make you wonder.

From now on I wouldn't return to that facility.

rottnpity, is there a groomer's organization that you can report this place to? Just having a report on file stating that your dog was injured at this facility will, if anything else, hopefully prevent someone from going there and possibly having their dog injured. Also, maybe there are other reports of injuries from this facility, and it needs investigating.
